IPWEA’s International Asset Management Congress is returning in 2024! The Congress will bring together international thought leaders and practitioners to engage attendees in the advancement of asset management practice locally and globally. This event will take place at the National Convention Centre Canberra in the picturesque Australian Capital Territory. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

2023 IPWEA International Asset Management Congress Communique

Over 300 delegates from Australia, New Zealand, and further abroad, gathered on the Gold Coast between the 14th and 15th June to attend the 2023 IPWEA International Asset Management Congress. The Congress theme ‘Leading the Asset Management Journey – Achieving a Scalable and Consistent Approach to Infrastructure Asset Management’ lead the conversations. To shape the future of infrastructure Asset Management, delegates considered a draft Communique to progress the recommendations outlined in the IPWEA White Paper on ‘Best practice asset management of essential public infrastructure’.

Based on the valuable feedback from Congress delegates, the recommendations are now finalised in the 2023 Congress Communique.

Study Tour

Australian Institute of Sport

As a Study Tour delegate, you’ll inspect the AIS, Bruce Campus. The campus is located on 65 hectares, and is a recognised Olympic Training Centre and Centre for Paralympic Excellence. You’ll explore the range of specialised and integrated facilities AIS offers, including aquatic and recovery centres, gymnastic centre, a multi-purpose training facility, track and field centre, outdoor fields, and the 4,200 seat AIS Arena.

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is one of the fastest growing councils in regional NSW, and is located in the south east and tablelands region, adjoining the ACT. You will visit: the new Nellie Hamilton Centre Council building with modern features for training and conferencing; the Googong Recycled Water Plant which provides recycled water for public green spaces, residential gardens, and flushing toilets, helping to drought-proof Googong; and the Regional Sports Complex home to elite turf and synthetic football and hockey fields.
